Most recently it has been all about Christmas! The lights are up, the house is decorated, most gifts have been purchased and some gifts are wrapped. These pics are from the first weekend of December.
A few favorite ornaments.
The Uptown Whittier tree.
We have the best neighbors who invite us to beautiful dinners with fancy, delicious food. The bravery in preparing Beef Wellington for eight was inspiring and no one can decorate better than this hostess!
Chris and I spent another Saturday morning roaming around Santa Monica. We took the Expo Line from DTLA to the 4th Street stop and spent a couple of hours checking out the Arizona Street Farmer’s Market and walking along Ocean until it was time to board the train for our lunch invitation at The Cutters. We got off at the Palms stop and walked about a mile to their house in Cheviot Hills. Chris enjoyed a dip in the pool and then we had a good lunch and conversation. We eventually headed back to the train and made our way back home.
Last weekend Chris and I had a good Sunday. We drove downtown, parked, spent a little time roaming around and then boarded the Expo Line for Santa Monica. We walked lots, and for old time’s sake, did the Fourth Street Stairs. Lastly, we met up with S and L at Blue Plate Oysterette for a nice dinner. The weather, the views, the people watching and the dinner company were great!
We hosted our moms and Cathy and Tom for brunch. The menu consisted of ham, scalloped potatoes, french toast casserole, berries, and chopped spinach salad. Marian brought chocolate covered strawberries for dessert,
Our neighbor, Heidi, organized an afternoon neighborhood egg hunt. Heidi decorated our yard and Chris and I hid eggs. Very fun!
